As a sister company to Elstob Auctioneers, we bring together trusted clearance support with unrivalled knowledge of the auction world. While Elstob Auctioneers handles many of the items identified through our clearances, we also maintain strong relationships with other regional salerooms to ensure that each item is sold in the most suitable market. This helps to achieve the best prices for our clients across a wide range of goods.

Elstob Auctioneers, founded in Ripon in 2019, has quickly become recognised as one of the region’s foremost auction houses, achieving strong prices and attracting buyers from across the globe. The business is led by David Elstob, whose longstanding career in the auction and valuation sector includes senior roles at Thomas Watson in Darlington and Addisons in Barnard Castle.

At Yorclear, David is supported by Jason Hutchinson, our Clearance Operations Manager. Jason has over a decade of experience in property clearances and transport, working alongside David since 2012. His practical expertise and hands-on approach ensure every clearance runs smoothly, efficiently and with care. Together, David and Jason combine professional knowledge with a friendly, approachable manner, providing families and clients with a service built on trust, sensitivity and respect.
